WHO MAY AUDITION
Any 4th through 8th grade student that attends school in the La Mesa Spring Valley School District or lives in the boundary areas of the district are qualified to audition.
August 28th and 29th, 2017 from 4:00-6:00pm at La Mesa Arts Academy auditorium at 4200 Parks Ave. in La Mesa. Bring a current (school type) photo with you (photos will not be returned). Auditions are on a first come basis, so come early. Parents MUST accompany their child to the auditions and remain until their child is finished. (approx. time 30 minutes). However, auditions will be closed and private, therefore no one (including parents) will be allowed to watch auditions.
All prospective cast members must choose songs provided by PPJT via the “Auditions” section below. Music and lyrics are provided for the audition songs. One of these songs must be chosen for the audition. On the day of the audition, PPJT will provide the music for the song that is chosen. There is no need to bring an iPod, CD etc.
NO OTHER MUSIC WILL BE ALLOWED.
Call back selections will be posted according to your audition number on the website (ppjt.org) on Wednesday, August 30th after 3:30pm. Call back auditions will be held Thursday, August 31st, 4:00 – 6:30 p.m. or Friday, September 1st, 2016, , 4:00 – 6:30 pm in the La Mesa Arts Academy auditorium. It is your responsibility to check the posted “call back” list. NO phone calls will be made. Students will learn a song, a dance and read dialogue and be evaluated on their performance of each. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you can dance in.
Final cast selections will be posted according to audition number, Sunday, September 3rd at 3:00pm on the PPJT website (ppjt.org.) No phone calls will be made.

The final cast character list will be posted on the website on Monday September 4, 2017 at 3:30pm.
SCRIPT NIGHT FAMILY SOCIAL
Friday, September 8th from 6:30 – 8:00pm at the LMAAC auditorium. Cast members must be accompanied by a parent. We will have refreshments during this orientation.
The fee is $300 for each cast member, for additional siblings in the cast the fee is $250.
Family support is essential to this production and a time commitment is required by each child as well as by parents. Rehearsals are held at LMAAC after school Monday, Wednesday and Friday 4:30 –6:30pm (not all cast members are required at all rehearsals). Weekend and some holiday commitments are required. Saturday rehearsals are from 8:00am – 11:00am (all times are subject to change). The final week of rehearsals will be held at the Kroc Center.
Rehearsals for “Music Man” will begin in October after the break.
ABOUT PETER PAN JUNIOR THEATER
Peter Pan Junior Theater is a non-profit, volunteer supported organization that utilizes theater arts to develop character and leadership skills within students. In addition, cast members will be instructed in dance, singing and acting.
